The foundation for douglas county schools

Expanding

Educational Opportunities for Students

We work to enrich the student experience and promote innovation by engaging our community in supporting students. The Foundation makes targeted investments in Douglas County schools and programs to accelerate student achievement and skill development, encourage and develop great teachers, and expand community involvement in our schools.

What We Do

The Foundation for Douglas County Schools accomplishes our mission via three primary avenues: Financial Investment, Chapter Engagement and Foundation Programming.

Thanks to the support of our donors and community, we have succeeded in providing:

40+

Million Dollars Raised since 2010

Contributions from individuals, organizations and corporations are invested in classrooms, initiatives, projects and events, all focused on accelerating student learning.

85+

Parent-driven volunteer-based chapters

Harnessing the power of passionate parent volunteers, our school-based chapters mobilize their school community to raise funds and activate engagement,  generating financial support for school-level priorities beyond the reach of the operating budget.

7250+

children & teachers engaged

Each year, more than 6,500 students and 750 educators participate in the Foundation’s educational events and programs designed to support student and teacher success.

Take Action

There are many ways to support our mission to help open doors for Douglas County students.

EVENTS & PROGRAMS

The Foundation for Douglas County Schools provides resources for experiential and innovative programs and events, mobilizing our community to ensure every student has enriching opportunities to learn and thrive.

GIFTS IN KIND

Donated items and services are a key part of propelling the mission forward. The kinds of in-kind contributions that have impact are endless, but certain items and services are our highest priorities.
